About Us

We are THE KYLE FAMILY and have been singing together all of our lives. Yes….we really are brothers and sisters! We were born and raised in South Austin and have not ventured very far. We still live in surrounding areas and are proud to call Texas home. Making music together has given us so much comfort and joy through the years. And now with Bodie’s son, Chad Hudson, and also David’s son, Grant Kyle, joining us on occasion, it gives us even more enjoyment. We consider it a great blessing to be able to make music together and our prayer is that it will bring you comfort, or make you smile in some way. We definitely want you to sing along! We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

God bless,

Terry, Bodie, Mary Margaret, Frances Ann, and David

Frances Ann

Frances Ann

Frances Ann began her singing career in 1978. “It was not anything I planned. It just happened!” After working with several country bands and a few trips to Nashville, plans changed for her. She is now married with two beautiful children. “I met so many wonderful friends in the music business and I am so thankful for the experience, but being a wife and mother is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done! I have truly been blessed.” Frances Ann and Rusty and their two children, Christi and Sam live in Dripping Springs.

Bodie

Bodie

Bodie’s fondest childhood memory is of singing harmony with her family. Anyone who knows the Kyle Family knows that Bodie will NOT sing solo, but takes her harmony part VERY seriously! Bodie has been happily married to Artie Hudson since 1971. They are the proud parents of two sons, Chad and Wade. Chad married Jenna Everhart in 1998, and they have three children, Annie, Shelby and Georgia. Wade married Colie Edmondson in 1999, and they have three children, Lily, Luke and Hunter. “The Lord has been SO good to me over the years. He has blessed me with a loving husband, wonderful sons and their beautiful spouses, and of course, my little angels, my beautiful grandchildren. On top of that, among so many other things, he has blessed me with the privilege of singing with my siblings as the Kyle Family. What a life. Thank you, Lord! And thanks to all of you who have supported our music. We ask a continued interest in your prayers. God Bless!”

Terry

Terry

Terry is the oldest of the Kyle clan and one of his fondest memories is the first time the “Kyle Family” performed in public. Bodie, Mary Margaret, Terry and their Dad were in a PTA talent show at Mollie B. Dawson elementary school. They sang ‘On The Wings Of A Dove’ while their father sang bass and played rhythm guitar with them. “What a great song that was and still is. It was my privilege 26 years later to record it for our album. The only instrument we used on the session was a rhythm guitar, just like the PTA show.” Terry and Nelda have been married for 35 years and have three daughters Kara, Kimberly and Kasey. Kara married Rick Green in 1994 and they have four children, Trey, Reagan, Kamryn and Rhett. Kimberly married Bryon Lloyd in 2005, and they have three children, Jack, Carys and Hazel. Kasey married Kevin Myers in January of 2006 and they have a son, Sutton. Terry and Nelda reside in Dripping Springs where Terry was elected Justice of the Peace in 2007. “I have been blessed more than I deserve and I thank God everyday for all that He has given me.”

MaryMargaret

Mary Margaret

Mary Margaret began her singing career in 1973 under the management of Sammy Allred.  She later sang, recorded, and traveled with Jess Demaine and the Country Music Review.  She married Dennis D. Dement in 1975 and they have three children, twin sons Burton and Clayton, and daughter Mary Ann.  Burton and wife Lynn Stacey have three daughters, Avery, Alison, and June.  Mary Ann and husband Chris Mitchell have a son, Royal, and a daughter, Mallory.  Clayton and Ali Meyer married in 2011.  “God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and family.  And I still love singing and performing with my siblings!  I am truly grateful.”  Blest be the tie that binds!

David

David

David is the youngest of the Kyle family and his job is to sing bass and play keyboard for his brother and sisters. He thinks his job is to entertain them. The story is that David came along seven years after Frances Ann because Dad knew we needed a bass in the family. David was influenced in his piano playing by Charlie Rich and Ray Charles. He is also a wonderful lead singer as well as song writer. David lives in Cedar Park, TX. with his lovely wife, Alma. He has a beautiful daughter, Jordan and two handsome boys, Cade and Grant. He has also been blessed with three stepsons, Michael, Tyler and Matthew.

Chad

Chad

Chad Hudson is the oldest son of Bodie and Artie Hudson. AnnieAs well as performing with the Kyle Family, he has produced and engineered the last three Kyle Family albums. Born in Austin and raised in Dripping Springs, Texas, Chad has been performing in and around Austin and Nashville for over 20 years. He is presently teaching guitar and performance at The Musician’s Woodshed in Bee Caves, Texas. Chad’s top priorities are his 3 beautiful children, Annie, Shel and Georgia. His oldest, Annie, is already writing and recording her own music at the age of 12. Her song is featured on this website as well. Chad’s music is about taking everyday experiences and making the most of them. He sees the beauty in the roller coaster ride we call life, and his music reflects just that.
